Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you are enjoying time with a loved one, whether that be a husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, good friend, Mom, Dad, Brother or Sister, Dog, Cat or Goldfish.  It is a nice chance to say thanks to the people you love.  And believe or not, somebody out there loves YOU!

I woke up yesterday morning to a delicious feast! My valentine knows the way to my heart.  Hopefully the cholesterol isn't quite as savvy.

In all honesty, it was a beautiful healthy breakfast.  Gorgeous breads and scones, hard boiled eggs with fresh fruits and veggies, coffee and sparkling water.  Ah!  Love at first bite.

Ben bought me a lovely Stephanotis.  The wedding flower yes, and also a flower we saw a great deal of in Hawaii.  Ahh, a small reminder of the best times.

Later that evening, I made Ben a filet mignon dinner (including chocolate mousse...).  Every time I am in the Kitchen I feel like that wee mouse in Ratatouille.  I get so excited, and then spices start flying!

I also bought Ben a book of Pablo Neruda poetry entitled "The Captain's Verses".  Gabriel Garcia Marquez said that Neruda was "the greatest poet of the 20th century in any language".  Originally written in Spanish and translated to English, "The Captain's Verses" is a collection of love poems written about the passion and quarrels of Neruda's marriage.  Perfect for my lil' bookworm.

I will leave you with an excerpt from the Poem "Your Feet"  which aptly reminds me of Ben since his feet are his favorite part of his body (yes, he will show them off).

Quent'n "Mr. Pink" Pays a Visit

We had a visitor today.  Mr. Quent'n Tarentino!

Kelly and Shannon (Ben's sister) are the proud parents of a brand new baby Viszla.  And let me tell you, that dog is CUTE.  He is a bred show dog.  In fact, his first puppy show is in less than two weeks.  I hope that I am around to witness the craziness that is a puppy show!
